The
man who swallowed the moon (O Homem que engoliu a Lua)
"Once,
when the moon disappeared, I was there and can tell all. I
don't remember how old I was then, and didn't at the time.
The fact is, the night was warm and soaked in blue, like paint
- as they say - and the moon was still, round and white, shining
as she should be." (
)
This
is how this original and beautiful story by Mário de
Carvalho begins. Pierre Pratt embellishes the text with his
expressive illustrations.
An excellent piece of work, for all ages.
